Summer-time is a super time to enjoy some of your favorite healthy foods – like ice cream! It is absolutely amazing how many flavors you can find out there (but good old-fashioned vanilla is still a favorite!)
Enjoying its’ 15th year as National Ice Cream Month (originally proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1984!), it is one of the more popular Summer celebrations! According to a recent International Dairy Foods Association survey, “Most ice cream companies are family owned and have been in operation for more than 50 years! Here’s more sweet news: Ice cream companies help support the U.S. economy, contributing more than $11 billion directly to the national economy and supporting more than 26,000 direct jobs that generate $1.6 billion in direct wages!”
