“Who messed up the identity of dairy when it comes to the nutrition side of it?” asked Hamdi Ulukaya, the founder of Chobani.
During a recent one hour interview with a representative of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), this owner of a billion dollar dairy brand expressed his frustration with the confusion in the market.
He agrees that plant-based drinks from almonds and/or oats can be delicious and offer some nutritious benefits. He even gives almond beverages to his son. But, they are not milk.
The unique nutritionally packed profile of real milk stands in a class of it's own. Truly, that is the message we must get out to the informed consumers of the world.
